the Possibilities,    then Your Ability!
WE'RE PLANNING A NEW HOME!  Thanks to a pending agreement with the City of Grand Junction, we are working to design and build a new center.  It will house our offices, equipment storage and maintenance, and staging for our programs located in the soon to be developed Las Colonias Park along the river south of downtown. We have launched a capital campaign to raise the funds to build the building.  Click on drawing for more details on the building and the campaign.

Capital Campaign kicks off!

Marge Gunderson A very active woman, in life, in the community, in her church, and in her family, Marge will be remembered and sorely missed.
Marge Gunderson, a longtime volunteer with CA, passed away peacefully Thursday night, September 10, 2015, at her home with her family by her side.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm Tuesday, September 15, at the Callahan-Edfast Mortuary. Services will be at noon Wednesday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2235 Kingdom Road. Interment will follow at New Elmwood Cemetery. Marge was a very active and enthusiastic volunteer with the Adaptive Ski Program, Team Powderhorn, Special Olympics, and the absolute best in obtaining donations for special events.  She was always happy, gathering those around her into her activities. She is survived by her husband, Steve, who is a past President of the CA Board of Directors; two daughters, Wendy Lori Newsom, who participated in Team Powderhorn, and Trina Lynn Vickers of Pleasant Grove, Utah; one stepson, Christopher Douglas of Rockwell, Texas; two stepdaughters, Sherry Armijo and Alysia Johnson, both of Pasco, Washington; one sister, GenNeil Gardemann of St. George, Utah; and nine grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be sent to Co r ity, 740 Gunnison Ave, Grand Junction, CO . The following article was originally published by Women's Adventure Magazine in their Fall 2012 issue. Marge recently celebrated her 72nd birthday with - you guessed it! - a 72 mile ride!    http://braveskimom.com/a-fast-life-is-a-good-life
